Command Master Chief Davis is native of Salem, OR, and graduated from McKay High School in June 1995.  He enlisted in the Navy and reported for recruit training December 1995 at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes. Master Chief Davis completed Cryptologic Technician (Collection) (CTR) “A” School, Direct Support Operator “C” School, and Manual Morse Operator “C” School before reporting to Naval Security Group Detachment San Diego, California.  His subsequent sea duty assignments include PCU HOWARD (DDG 83); USS HIGGINS (DDG 76); and PCU STERETT (DDG 104) homeported in San Diego, CA. 

His shore duty assignments include National Security Agency, Fort Meade Maryland where he served as a Maritime Senior Watch Officer in the National Security Operations Center; Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet as the Pacific Fleet Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator and as an Information Warfare Officer at the Maritime Information Operations Center-Pacific; Chief of Naval Operations as the CNO’s CTR Rating Advisor on the N2/N6 Staff; Navy Personnel Command to serve as the CTR Lead Detailer and also served as the PERS-408 Rating Assignment Officer overseeing the distribution of all Information Warfare Sailors; and Cryptologic Warfare Group Six Detachment Digby as the Senior Enlisted Leader.

In May 2021, he reported as the Command Master Chief for VAQ-137.  Along with multiple unit and campaign awards, his decorations include; the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards).  He is qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist.

Master Chief Davis holds an Associate of Arts degree in Media and Communications from Coastline Community College.  He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 202 Red), and CMC/COB course (197).
