Commander Jason "Tuna" Divito

25 October 2020 Commander Jason "Tuna" Divito is a native of Seminole, Florida, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Florida. He earned his commission in May 2004 via the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps and was designated as a Naval Aviator in April 2007. 
 
Commander Divito's previous operational assignments include tours with Strike Fighter Squadron THREE ONE (VFA-31), Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ONE FIVE (VFA-115) forward deployed to Japan, and Strike Fighter Squadron ONE FOUR SEVEN (VFA-147). He has completed deployments aboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN-77), USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73), USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), and USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70), leading combat missions in support of Operations NEW DAWN (OND), ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF), and INHERENT RESOLVE (OIR).
 
His shore assignments include tours as a Selectively Retained Graduate (SERGRAD) Instructor Pilot at Training Squadron SEVEN (VT-7), as an Instructor Pilot and the US Navy’s subject matter expert for the Advanced Tactical Training Program at the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), as an Instructor Pilot and the Training Officer at Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE (VFA-101), and as an Instructor Pilot and the Training Officer at Strike Fighter Squadron ONE TWO FIVE (VFA-125).
 
He holds a bachelor's degree in Advertising from the University of Florida, and a master's degree in Project Management from Georgetown University.
 
Commander Divito has amassed more than 3,000 flight hours and 500 carrier arrested landings in the FA-18A/B/C/D/E/F, F-16A/B, and F-35C. His personal decorations include the Air Medal (Two Strike/Flight Awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Five Awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Four Awards), as well as various other personal and unit awards.
