Command Master Chief Nanney

Master Chief Nanney is a native of Houma, Louisiana.  She enlisted in the Navy in September 1997 as an undesignated seaman and completed basic training at Recruit Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois.
 
Master Chief Nanney’s previous duty stations and assignments include: USS Constitution, Boston, Massachusetts; Strike Fighter Squadron (VF) 101, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia: Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia; Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia; Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 5, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida; Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Detachment Mayport, Florida; Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland; USS GEORGE H W BUSH (CVN 77), Norfolk, Virginia; OPNAV N98, Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia; Command Senior Chief of USS SENTRY (MCM 3), Manama, Bahrain. 
 
Her academic achievements include an Associate’s Degree in Administrative Management from Excelsior College.  She is an honor graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 210/Orange) and graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Command Leadership School (Class 20080).
 
Her warfare qualifications include Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Surface Warfare Specialist as well as Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist.
 
Her personal decorations include: Navy/Marine Corps Commendation medal (4 awards); Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (9 awards); Military Volunteer Service Medal; Surface Navy Association 2021 Admiral Zumwalt Award for Visionary Leadership; and numerous other unit and campaign awards.
