Command Master Chief Jenkins

   Command Master Chief (AW/SW/IW) Jenkins is a native of Valdosta, Georgia.  He enlisted in the Navy through the Delayed Entry Program in September 1995, and completed Basic Training at Recruit Training Command (RTC) in Great Lakes, IL, followed by Electronics Warfare Technician Class "A" and "C" School at Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC) Corry Station, Pensacola, FL.

    His sea tours included USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54), USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62), USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62), USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76), U.S. 7th Fleet Staff (embarked onboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), and Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron SEVEN SEVEN (HSM-77) .

     His shore duty assignments include Navy Information Operations Command (NAVIOCOM) Colorado and Navy Information Operations Command Yokosuka, in Yokosuka, Japan.  Additionally, he deployed to Iraq where he was attached to Joint Crew Composite Squadron One (JCCS-1) in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, and provided essential Electronic Warfare expertise to counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices. He served as the Command Master Chief at U.S. Seventh Fleet in Yokosuka, Japan. He is currently serving as Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron FIVE ONE (HSM-51) Command Master Chief at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan.

     Master Chief Jenkins is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 164 and CMC/COB Capstone Course Class 201.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.

     Command Master Chief Jenkins' awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (3 gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 gold stars), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Humanitarian Aid Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Global War on Terrorism Service Medals, and numerous campaign and unit awards.
