Commander Jared Stolle

Executive Officer, Patrol Squadron (VP) 4

29 October 2020 A native of Chester, Virginia, Commander Stolle graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. CDR Stolle was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Program and reported to NAS Pensacola, FL, for flight training in November 2006. He earned his “Wings of Gold” as a Naval Aviator in May 2008. In August 2008, CDR Stolle reported to the “Pro’s Nest” of Patrol Squadron THIRTY (VP-30) for initial training as a P-3C “Orion” Patrol Plane Pilot. 

CDR Stolle began his operational flying in March 2009 with the “Fighting Marlins” of Patrol Squadron FOUR ZERO (VP-40).  While aboard, he completed deployments to U.S. FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibility.  He qualified as an Instructor Pilot and Mission Commander and served as the Pilot NATOPS Officer.

CDR Stolle reported to VP-30 for instructor duty in May of 2012, where he first transitioned from the P-3C to the P-8A “Poseidon.” During his time at the “Pro’s Nest,” CDR Stolle participated in successfully transitioning the first five squadrons to the P-8A. He qualified as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor and served as the Pilot Instructor Under Training/Standardization Officer.

CDR Stolle returned to the fleet in August of 2015 as a Squadron Maritime Tactics Instructor with the “Tridents” of Patrol Squadron TWO SIX (VP-26). After completing its transition to the P-8A, VP-26 deployed to the SEVENTH Fleet area of responsibility. While onboard, CDR Stolle served as the Training Officer.

CDR Stolle reported to the Patrol Squadron NINE (VP-9) “Golden Eagles” in August 2017 for his department head tour. After the command transitioned to the P-8A, he deployed to the SIXTH Fleet area of responsibility. While at VP-9, he served as the NATOPS Officer and the Operations Officer.

Following his department head tour, CDR Stolle reported to the Naval War College, where he earned a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies while also completing his JPME I requirement.

In March of 2021, CDR Stolle reported to Patrol Squadron FOUR (VP-4) to serve as the Executive Officer of the “Skinny Dragons.”

His awards include the Strike/Flight Air Medal (3 awards), Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), and Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), and various service awards and ribbons.
