Fleet Readiness Center Northwest

Fleet Readiness Center Northwest, previously known as Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment (AIMD), was established in 1959 and developed into the premier Intermediate and Depot Maintenance Facility in the Pacific Fleet.

Over 1100 Sailors, Marines, Civilians, Contractors and depot maintenance level personnel at FRC NW provide aviation maintenance and logistic support to 25 Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island based squadrons (16 Electronic Attack, eight Patrol and Reconnaissance, one Station Search and Rescue, one Fleet Logistics Support), 10 aircraft carriers, four overseas operational sites and numerous Northwest Region commands and activities.
