Master Chief Worth was born in Oklahoma, raised in Utah, and graduated Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona in May of 1995.  Immediately enlisting in the U.S. Navy he attended basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. Followed by Naval Air Crew Candidate School (NACCS), Aviation Rescue Swimmer School (ARSS) in Pensacola, Florida, and Aviation Warfare System Operator Apprentice School in Millington, Tennessee.  Graduated Fleet Replacement Aircrew School, Advanced Acoustic Operator, and SERE training in San Diego, Ca.  His first duty assignment was with the HS-7 “Dusty Dogs” in Jacksonville, Florida.  Deploying on the USS Enterprise, USS Harry S. Truman, and USNS Fred W. Stockham. Deployed as the CMC for USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS-10); first ever and most successful drug operations conducted by an LCS ship. Ultimately serving with HSC-21 Blackjacks.

Ashore assignments included Aviation Rescue Swimmer School as a High Risk (HR) Instructor where he qualified as a Master Training Specialist and Rescue Swimmer School Model Manager, evaluating HR school house curriculums fleet wide.  While assigned he also graduated from Coast Guard Advanced Rescue Swimmer School, in Astoria, Oregon, leading to ultimately being recognized as NASC Sailor of the Year.  Received orders to Whidbey SAR in Washington, qualifying as a Helicopter Inland Rescue Crewman leading to over 100 civilians rescues during his tenure.  Conducting a number of Operational Deployments with the HSC-85 “Firehawks” of San Diego, California, serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader while deployed throughout PACOM AOR under USSOCOM. He served as the CNO Search and Rescue Model Manager, responsible for the establishment of policy and ensuring Navy-wide standardization in training, equipment and procedures for SAR under the Chief of Naval Operations. 

Master Chief Worth’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate; Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course; NLEC CMC/COB course, Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education; and Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education.

His personal awards include an Air Medal (Single Action), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medals (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, USCG Special Operations Service Ribbon, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NHA Aircrew of the Year awards (two awards), CNO SAR Air Rescue Swimmer of the year, Sikorsky Rescue Awards (21 awards), Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Insignia, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Insignia, and Enlisted Naval Aircrew Wings.
