Throughout his distinguished career, Master Chief Quenga has served across a diverse array of Expeditionary, Fleet Replacement (FRS), and Carrier Based Aviation commands. Notable among these are his tours with Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 5 (HC-5) "Providers," subsequently re-designated as Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 (HSC-25) "Island Knights," where he was a designated “Plank Owner” and with other esteemed units such as the "Merlins" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Three (HSC-3) and the "World Famous Eightballers" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 8 (HSC-8). Additionally, he has contributed his expertise to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 30 (VRC-30), as well as the Legendary "Black Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 4 (HSC-4).
His sea assignments included deployments in support of pivotal operations including Operations Banda Aceh Tsunami Unified Assistance and Leyte Gulf Humanitarian Support onboard USS ESSEX (LHD-2) and USNS SHASTA (AE-33). He has also served in crucial roles during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, notably as part of the 2515th Naval Air Ambulance Detachment wave 4 in Camp Buehring, Kuwait, and onboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74). Additionally, he contributed to Operation Inherent Resolve aboard USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), Commander Naval Air Force, US Pacific Fleet, notably as an Aviation Maintenance Management Training Team (AMMT) 1 Evaluator and Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) Program Manager, and undertook a 7th Fleet Operational deployment as the Maintenance Control Supervisor with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 4 (HSC-4) while embarked onboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70). Upon being selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Program, he assumed the role of SEL onboard USS SANTA BARBARA (LCS-32) GOLD LCS CREW 230.
Ashore, he has assumed various leadership roles in Fleet Replacement Squadron Three and Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Three Zero.
Master Chief Quenga is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 264/Blue). His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal (three awards), Army Achievement Medal, and various other personal and unit awards.
