Command Master Chief Andre Abelino Delarosa Jr.

Master Chief Delarosa, a native of the Bronx, New York, enlisted in the United States Navy in February 1993.  Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he completed Sonar Technician “A” School in San Diego, California.
In November 1993, he reported to USS SCOTT (DDG 995) stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and completed two Mediterranean Deployments and one Counter Drug Deployment in the Caribbean Sea.  In June 1998 he reported to Navy Recruiting District New York.  As a recruiter his station earned Large Station of the Year for the entire nation in 2000.  In November 2001, he reported to Joint Maritime Facility St. Mawgan Newquay, United Kingdom, as an acoustic analyst earning the Integrated Undersea Surveillance Specialist insignia.  In January 2005, he was selected as a Pre-commissioning member of USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG 98) stationed in Norfolk, Virginia completing her maiden deployment circumnavigating the continent of Africa.  In December 2007, he reported to Commander Undersea Surveillance in Virginia Beach, Virginia during this tour he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 2008.  In August 2009, he was selected to be an Individual Augmentee at Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.  In September 2010, he transferred to USS TRUXTUN (DDG 103) stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, he completed one deployment to the Persian Gulf and advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer in June 2011.  In January 2014, he reported to Commander Undersea Surveillance in Virginia Beach, Virginia during this tour he qualified SURTASS Mission Commander.  In February 2017, he reported to Pre-Commissioning Detachment Norfolk, assigned to PCU Paul Ignatius (DDG 117), where he was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer in May 2018. In January 2019, he reported to Naval Ocean Processing Facility Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, Virginia as the Operations Department Leading Chief Petty officer.  In March 2019, he was selected to the Command Master Chief program and transferred in April 2019.  In May 2019, he reported to the World-Famous Pukin’ Dogs, Strike Fighter Squadron ONE FOUR THREE at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia as their Command Master Chief. In May 2021, he reported as the Command Master Chief for Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW-5) at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.  In August 2023, he reported to the Kestrels, Strike Fighter Squadron ONE THREE SEVEN at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Lemoore, California as their Command Master Chief.  He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, class 177 (BROWN) and the CMC/COB course, class 199.  His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Commendation medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
