25 October 2020 A native of Tutuila, American Samoa, Master Chief Alefaio enlisted in the Navy in Lakewood, Washington on March 28, 2000. His military training and certifications include; the CMC/COB course (Class 20070); the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy course (Class 218, Green); and the Military Enlisted Cryptologic Career Advance Program internship with the National Security Agency/Central Security Services (NSA/CSS, Class of 2016). He earned his Masters of Arts degree in Homeland Security from American Military University and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Justice from Central Washington University.

Master Chief Alefaio reported to Naval Security Group Activity, Medina, TX for duty as a Direct Support Operator - Surface in April 2001, getting underway onboard the USS Carney (DDG-64). Later that year, he reported to Navy Information Operation Command (NIOC), Whidbey Island, Washington on humanitarian orders as a Direct Support Operator - Air, deploying with VAQ-134 (Garudas) and getting underway onboard the USS Boxer (LHD-4). In April 2006, he reported to the USS Port Royal (CG-73) as a Signals Exploitation Analyst. He was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2009. In March 2010, he reported to NIOC Hawaii to serve as a NSA/CSS Directorate Senior Enlisted Leader and deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. In March of 2013, he was selected for NSA/CSS's Military Enlisted Cryptologic Career Advance Program internship and reported to NIOC Maryland. He was selected for Senior Chief in April 2013 and Master Chief in April 2016. Upon his selection to Master Chief, he reported to NIOC Texas to serve as the NSA/CSS Directorate of Operations SEL. In December of 2019, he reported to NIOC Hawaii to serve as the NSA/CSS Hawaii Command SEL. In March of 2020, he was selected for Command Master Chief. In May 2020, he reported as the Command Master Chief of VFA-94 "Mighty Shrikes".

Command Master Chief Alefaio is entitled to wear the Enlisted Information Warfare, Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist pins. His personal decorations include Defense Meritorious Service Medal (Three Awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Five Awards), USN Flag Letter of Commendation, USAF Flag Letter of Commendation, and various campaign and unit awards.
