26 October 2020 CDR Jason “Pontiac” Delaneuville grew up in Pensacola, Florida.  He graduated from Jacksonville University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.

He returned to Pensacola for flight training, receiving his Wings of Gold in October 2005.  He then reported to NAS Oceana, VA and the “Gladiators” of VFA-106 for training as a Weapon Systems Officer in the FA-18 Super Hornet.  Upon completion of the Fleet Replacement Squadron, he joined the VFA-103 “Jolly Rogers” where he participated in numerous deployments in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.  

Following his first fleet tour, CDR Delaneuville completed the Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Course at the prestigious United States Naval Fighter Weapons School, also known as TOPGUN, in Fallon, Nevada where he remained as an instructor.  Upon completion of this assignment, he and his family moved back to Virginia Beach, VA where he served as the Training Officer for the “Red Rippers” of VFA-11.  He then transferred to the VFA-213 “Fighting Blacklions” as a Department Head and held the billets of Administrative Officer, Maintenance Officer, and Operations Officer while the squadron participated in the historic 2017 deployment of Carrier Air Wing EIGHT in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. 

After departing the “Blacklions” in December of 2018, CDR Delaneuville reported to the Training Transformation Directorate of the Joint Staff where he served as Chief of the Solutions Branch within the Service Joint Training Division.  He checked in as Executive Officer of the VFA-41 “Black Aces” on 10 December 2020.

CDR Delaneuville has completed course work at the Joint Forces Staff College and has earned a Master of Arts Degree in Government with a concentration in National Security Studies from Regent University.  He has accumulated over 2500 flight hours and 600 carrier arrested landings.  His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Strike Flight Air Medal (five awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal, and various campaign and unit awards and citations.  

He is married to the former Jennifer Concordia of Margate, New Jersey and they are proud parents of two daughters, Jacqueline and Vivian.
