Command Master Chief Jason L. Negron

Command Master Chief Negron is a native of Jersey City, New Jersey. After completion of recruit training in September of 1997 he attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) Groton, Connecticut.

In February of 1998, he reported to USS PARCHE (SSN 683), where he participated in four vital missions to national security and was advanced to Third Class Petty Officer.

After completion of his initial sea tour, he reported to Radioman “C” School in Groton, Connecticut in November of 2001. During his assignment at “C” school he was advanced to Second Class Petty Officer.

In August of 2002, he reported to USS PASADENA (SSN 752) and during his sea tour he was advanced to First Class Petty Officer. He served as Communications Division Leading Petty Officer (LPO) and successfully completed one CENTCOM and one Western Pacific deployment. In February of 2006, he reported to Commander Submarine Pacific (COMSUBPAC). He served as Leading Petty Officer (LPO) and Communications Watch Officer.

In April of 2009, he reported for assignment as Communications Division Leading Petty Officer (LPO) to the USS PASADENA (SSN 752), where he completed one Western Pacific deployment, and was advanced to Chief Petty Officer. In November of 2009 he reported to USS BREMERTON (SSN 698). He served as Communications Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) and successfully completed one CENTCOM and one Western Pacific deployment. After an extremely successful LCPO tour aboard USS BREMERTON he transferred to Submarine Squadron One in July of 2013 he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer. He served as the Submarine Squadron One Communications Assistant. In October of 2016, he relieved as the Chief of the Boat on board USS CHARLOTTE (SSN 766) where he completed one Western Pacific deployment, and was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer.

In December of 2018, he reported for assignment as the Command Master Chief of Naval Submarine Support Command Pearl Harbor. In October of 2020, he relieved as the Command Master Chief of USS EMORY S LAND (AS-39). In October 2023 he relieved as the Command Master Chief of HSM-37.

Master Chief Negron’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and service awards
