27 October 2020 Master Chief Bernard Dizon was born in Manila, Philippines, and graduated in Newark Memorial High School in Newark, California 1993.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy through the Delayed Entry Program the same year.
He completed recruit basic training at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois.  He went on to “ABH” A School NATTC Millington, TN.  His first duty assignment was USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64), home ported at NAS North Island, CA.
Sea duty assignments included:  USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64), USS ESSEX (LHD-2), USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD-6) and two tours onboard USS TARAWA (LHA-1). He was selected for the Command Master Chief (CMDCM) program in 2018 and served his first CMDCM tour onboard USS RAFAEL PERALTA (DDG 115).  Shore duty assignments includes: Aircraft Firefighting Instructor NAS Whidbey Island, SERE Instructor (West) and Senior Enlisted Leader for Commander Task Force 72/COMFAIRWESTPAC Atsugi, Japan.   He’s currently assigned as Command Master Chief of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 41 (HSM 41).
He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy. He qualified as Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Afloat Training Specialist and Master Training Specialist.
Master Chief Dizon’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy, Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), and numerous other campaign and unit awards.
