Commander Frank P. Verducci, III

29 October 2020 Commander Frank Verducci is a native from Burlingame, CA. He graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005 earning a Bachelor of Science in History.  In September 2005, CDR Verducci reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL, and began flight training.  He was designated a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) in May 2007.  He holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas. 
In March of 2008, he reported to the Golden Eagles of Patrol Squadron NINE (VP-9) where he served as NFO Training Officer deploying to the FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet. His qualifications included Mission Commander and Instructor Tactical Coordinator.
In June 2011, he reported to the Patrol Squadron THIRTY for duty as a Fleet Replacement Instructor.  He served as the P-8A NATOPS NFO Track Lead/Division Officer.  He helped transition the first three East Coast squadrons to the P-8A aircraft.  His qualifications included Weapons and Tactics Instructor and Fleet NATOPS Evaluator. 
In January of 2014, he reported to Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN to serve as the Flag Aide to Amphibious Force SEVENTH Fleet/Task Force 76 where he deployed aboard USS PELELIU (LHA 5) and USS BONHOMME RICHARD (LHD 6) with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade in support operations and bi-lateral exercises through the SEVENTH Fleet AOR.
In April 2016, he reported to VP-16 for his Department Head Tour.  He served as the Safety/NATOPS Officer, Training Officer, and Operations Officer.  He completed a SIXTH Fleet Deployment and led the War Eagles through their entire 2018 Fleet Response Training Plan.
In September 2018, he reported to the Joint Staff at the Pentagon as part of the J-36, Nuclear and Homeland Defense Operations.  He is a Joint Qualified Officer as well as a qualified Presidential Strike Advisor and Assistant Deputy Director for Operations. 
Commander Verducci has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours.  His personal decorations include a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, an Air Medal (Three Strike Flights), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), as well as various unit citations and campaign awards.
