Command Master Chief Boubion

Command Master Chief, Navy Air Logistics Office

Master Chief Boubion, of Chesapeake, Va. enlisted in the U.S. Navy in July 1987.  Following the completion of recruit training in San Diego, Ca, and rate training in Millington, Tn, he began his career as a SELRES aircraft mechanic and Navy Aircrewman.  In 1998, he re-enlisted into the TAR community earning his Chief anchor as an Aviation Machinist Mate (Aircrewman) in 2004 before converting to Navy Aircrewman (Mechanical) in 2006. The rest as they say, is history.  

Master Chief Boubion is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, as well as a graduate of Coastline Community College at Fontana, Ca earning two Associate’s degrees, and graduates with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern New Hampshire University in July 2023.  

Master Chief Boubion’s previous assignments include:  Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD), NAS Point Mugu, Ca;  Helicopter Combat Support Special Squadron FIVE (HCS-5) Point Mugu, Ca and NAS North Island San Diego, Ca;  Fleet Logistics Support Squadron-57 (VR-57), North Island San Diego, Ca;  Fleet Logistics Support Squadron-51 (VR-51), MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI;  Fleet Logistics Support Squadron-57 (VR-57), North Island, Ca;  Fleet Logistics Support Squadron-56 (VR-56), NAS Oceana, VA;  and Navy Air Logistics Office (NALO) New Orleans, LA.   

He flew combat missions over Haiti is support of Operation Uphold Democracy 1994, as well as multiple combat missions in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003, Baghdad, Iraq, with countless operational detachments around the world totaling over 7000 flight hours. A unique career highlight was a flight into North Korea in support of a U.S. Presidential delegation visit.       

In February 2023, Master Chief Boubion proudly assumed the duties as Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Navy Air Logistics Office (NALO), NAS JRB New Orleans, LA.  

Master Chief Boubion’s personal awards include the following: Air Medal w/V (single action), Air medal -Strike/Flight (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), Air Force Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal w/two campaign stars, Humanitarian Service Medal (two awards), and various other service and campaign awards.
