Command Master Chief (AW/SW) Israel Pedregon

Command Master Chief Israel Pedregon, a native of Zaragoza, Mexico, enlisted in the Navy in October 1993. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, Ill. he reported to Naval Air Technical Training Command at Millington, Tenn. where he completed Aviation Machinist’s Mate (AD) “A” School. He currently holds an Associate Degree from Coastline Community College in Aviation Technology.

His fleet assignments include Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 94, Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 2, Patrol Squadron (VP) 47, and Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 195.

Shore assignments include Aviation Intermediate Maintence Depot for Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 30; Recruit Division Commander, Recruit Training Command Great Lakes; and Aviation Intermediate Maintence Depot Atsugi, Japan. Pedregon’s command master chief assignments include USS Mustin (DDG 89), Naval Air Technical Training Center, and Commander, Surface Naval Forces Pacific.

He reported as Command Master Chief for USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in March 2021. His personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, as well as various unit and campaign awards. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 149 (Brown) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Capstone Course.
