Command Master Chief Justin Boop

Master Chief Justin Boop, a native of Litchfield, Minnesota, began his military career in October of 2000 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from RTC Great Lakes and completed Aviation Ordnance “A” school in early 2001.

He reported to the USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70), homeported in Bremerton, WA where he completed three Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployments and advanced to Second Class Petty Officer. He then reported to VFA-113 in Lemoore, California; completing two more WESTPAC deployments and was advanced to First Class Petty Officer in 2007.

Upon his detachment from sea duty, he reported to the Naval Absentee Collection and Information Center located at Naval Station Great Lakes, followed by a tour at Navy Munitions Command, East Asia Division, Unit Okinawa, Detachment Diego Garcia.

He then reported to VAQ-135 onboard Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, WA where he deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan and Misawa Air Base, Japan and was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2013. Upon completion of his tour with VAQ-135, he reported to the USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74) where he served as the G-1 and G-5 Leading Chief Petty Officer and was selected for advancement to Senior Chief Petty Officer. 

He returned to NAS Whidbey Island for duty at the Electronic Attack Weapons School (EAWS) in June of 2019 where he served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader and was selected for conversion to Command Senior Chief in 2022. Following his tour at EAWS, he transferred to San Diego where he served as the 7th Battalion and San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station Command Senior Enlisted Leader and was selected for advancement to Master Chief Petty Officer. Currently, he is serving as the Command Master Chief for Electronic Attack Squadron ONE THREE SEVEN.

Master Chief Boop is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal (five awards) as well as numerous unit, campaign, and service awards.
