Master Chief Lance Burfict is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and enlisted in the U.S. Navy May 1998. He completed Basic Training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Yeoman "A" School in Meridian, MS.
Master Chief Burfict previous duty station and assignment include: Naval Support Activity, Souda Bay Greece; Commander SEVENTH FLEET embarked onboard the USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Air Station Key West, FL; ARCO (ARDM 5), San Diego, CA; USS TARAWA (LHA 1), San Diego, CA; Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN Detachment Sasebo, Japan; Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group TWO, Virginia Beach, VA; Commander U. S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk Virginia.
In 2017 he was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program, His Command Master Chief assignments include; Acting Command Master Chief for Naval Support Activity, Hampton Roads and Senior Enlisted Advisor of Fort Lee MEPS, Fort Lee, VA. He currently serves as Command Master Chief of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA-25) Naval Air Station Lemoore, California
Master Chief is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy Class 210 and graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course Class 176. He holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College.
Master Chief Warfare qualifications include Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Surface Warfare Specialist. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award and other various unit and campaign awards.
He is married and has two children.
