CMDCM Boes was raised in Coral, MI and graduated from Lakeview High School in 2005.  He entered the United States Navy in June 2005 and completed Fire Controlman “A” school at Center for Surface Combat Systems, Great Lakes in March 2006.
 
His sea assignments include USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45); CIWS and RAM Program Office (IWS 11) where he was selected for Chief Petty Officer; USS CHOSIN (CG 65) where he was accepted into the Command Senior Chief Program; and USS CHARLESTON (LCS 18).  
 
Ashore, he was assigned to Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit, Great Lakes to instruct Fire Controlman “A” School.  It was while in Great Lakes, he received his Master Training Specialist qualification.
 
His current assignment is Command Master Chief of VFA-41.
 
Master Chief Boes is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 243 (Orange) and the Command Master Chief Course Class 21120. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Technologies Management.
 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards) and various other personal and unit awards.
