Command Master Chief John Shubert
Command Master Chief, Airborne Command & Control Squadron (VAW) 115

Command Master Chief John Shubert is a native of WaKeeney, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 22 August, 2005 and entered Basic Training at RTC Great Lakes. After completing Information Systems Technician “A” School he reported to USNS CORONADO (T-AGF-11).
His sea duty assignments include USS GRIDLEY (DDG 101), USS RUSHMORE (LSD 47), USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), and Combined Joint Special Operations Air Detachment – Arabian Peninsula, Balad, Iraq. His shore assignments include Information Warfare Training Center, San Diego and Southwest Regional Maintenance Center. His Command assignments include USS CHARLESTON (LCS 18) Gold Crew and USS SAVANNAH (LCS 28) Gold Crew.
He is currently assigned as the Command Master Chief at Airborne Command and Control Squadron 115 (VAW 115) “Liberty Bells”.
Master Chief Shubert is authorized to wear the Enlisted Surface, Information, and Expeditionary Warfare Specialist insignias. He is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors in General Studies with an emphasis in Information Technology and Networking. He is an Honor Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 222 and a graduate of the CMC/COB Course. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
