Command Master Chief Eaker is from San Diego, California. He entered the Navy in March 1998 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Master Chief’s sea duty assignments include the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74), USS Nimitz (CVN-68), Strike Fighter Squadron TWO SEVEN (VFA-27), Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO TWO (VFA-102). Ashore, Master Chief Eaker’s assignments include Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD), Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS DET WEST), Test and Evaluation Squadron NINE (VX-9) Detachment Edwards Air Force Base, Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO ONE (VFA-101), Joint Strike Fighter Wing and Naval Base Guam. He was selected into the Command Senior Chief Program in February of 2013 and subsequently was advanced to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer the following year. He arrived as the Command Master Chief of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12 in April 2024. A graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Residence Course, Class 175, (Green Group), Command Master Chief Course, National Defense University Keystone Class 18- 2, Navy Senior Leadership Seminar, and the Executive Leadership Seminar. He holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. Master Chief Eaker’s personal decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal (Three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various service and campaign awards.
