Command Master Chief Ryan O. Resurreccion was born in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. He enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1997, completing Basic Training at Recruit Training Command, Chicago, IL.
He reported to his first command, VAQ-134 (Garudas) in November 1997. He went on multiple expeditionary deployments to include Incirlik Turkey, Prince Sultan Air Base Saudi Arabia, Azores Portugal, Aviano Italy, Rota Spain, Brussels Belgium, and Sembach Germany in support of Operation Northern Watch, Operation Southern Watch, and Operation Allied Forces.
He reported to his second command HSL-41 (Seahawks) in August 2002 and attained numerous H-60 qualifications. For his second sea tour, he checked in to HSC-21 (Blackjacks) in September 2005 and completed his first WESPTPAC deployment in 2006 onboard USS PELELIU (LHA-5). In July 2006, he became a plank-owner of HSC-23 (Wildcards) where he attained his MH-60S Safe-for-Flight qualification, became the Line Division Leading Petty Officer, Quality Assurance Leading Petty Officer, and completed another WESTPAC 2008 onboard USS PELELIU (LHA-5) as the Detachment Leading Petty Officer. In the same command, he was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 15 September 2009.
In December 2009, he transferred to his second shore duty at HS-10 (Warhawks) which he fulfilled the roles of Aircraft Division Leading Chief Petty Officer, Quality Assurance Supervisor and Maintenance Control Leading Chief Petty Officer. In August 2012, he reverted to HSC-21 (Blackjacks) for his fourth sea tour where he took another detachment as the Leading Chief Petty Officer onboard USS PELELIU for WESTPAC/RIMPAC 2014. He also fulfilled the roles of Quality Assurance Supervisor, Maintenance Control Supervisor, acting Maintenance Master Chief, and Senior Enlisted Leader. He was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer in June 2014 and was selected as COMHSCWINGPAC Association of Naval Aviation Chief of the Year 2016.
In December 2017, he transferred to his fifth sea tour at HSC-6 (Screamin’ Indians) where he led home-guard detachment and was selected to Command Senior Chief and Command Master Chief on May 2018. During this tour, he was selected as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Pacific Partnership 2019 mission onboard USNS FALL RIVER (T-EPF-4) and USNS BRUNSWICK (T-EPF-6). He served as the interim Command Master Chief at HSC-3 (Merlins)
and Command Master Chief at HSM-75 (Wolfpack) in 2020.
Command Master Chief Resurreccion is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Academy Leadership Course Class 58 and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Navy Leadership and Ethics Course Class 189.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Navy Unit Commendation (three awards), Meritorious Unit Commendation (two awards), Good Conduct (seven awards) and various service and campaign awards.
Master Chief Resurreccion reported to his current assignment as the Command Master Chief for Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Pacific (HSMWINGPAC) in October 2022.
