Command Master Chief Coronado is a native of El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Dublin High School, in Dublin, CA in 1993. She attended boot camp in Great Lakes in May 1997.
Master Chief Coronado’s subsequent sea/shore tours include: USS BRIDGE (AOE-10), Personnel Support Activity, Bangor, WA, as a Separations Pay Clerk; Mobile Security Squadron 7, Detachment 73, in Guam, as Mission Commander; Naval Submarine Base, Point Loma, CA as the Security Department Operations Chief and N3 Leading Chief Petty Officer; Naval Support Activity, Souda Bay, Greece, as the Security Departmental LCPO, and Assistant Security Officer; Transient Personnel Detachment, Sasebo, Japan as the Chief Petty Officer in Charge; and the Senior Enlisted Academy as a Faculty Advisor. Her first Command Senior Chief tour was as the 4th Battalion Senior Enlisted Leader at the Cleveland MEPS. In 2020, she reported as the Command Master Chief of Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE TWO (VFA-192) and in 2023, she reported onboard U.S. Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia.
Her formal schools include: Senior Shore Leadership Course, Senior Leaders Legal Course, NLEC CMC/COB, Senior Enlisted Academy (Purple 195), Professional Development Instructor (NEC 812A), Master at Arms “A” School, Small Arms Instructor (NEC 717B), Antiterrorism Training Supervisor (NEC 804A), DAPA, ADAMS Supervisors, CMEO Program Manager, Command Fitness Leader, Journeyman Instructor Training, and Emergency Operations Center Incident Managament Team Course.
Qualifications include: Enlisted Surface Warfare (SW), Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare (EXW), and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialists (AW). She completed her Associates in General Studies in 2003 from University of Phoenix, Bachelors of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security in 2015 from Ashford Univeristy, and her Masters Degree in Strategic Leadership in 2018 University of Charleston, WV.
Her decorations include Joint Meritorious Unit Award, a Meritorius Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit service awards.
