A native of San Diego, California, Command Master Chief Escolano reported to Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL, in April 2005 and began his career as an Aviation Adminstrationman.
He has served in the following sea duty tours, Electronic Attack Squadron ONE FOUR ZERO (VAQ-140), NAS Whidbey Island, WA, completing two deployments onboard on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69); Special Projects Patrol Squadron TWO (VPU-2), MCBH Kaneohe Bay, HI, completing multiple deployments world-wide and advancing to Chief Petty Officer; and Strike Fighter Squadron ONE THREE SIX (VFA-136), NAS Lemoore, CA completing two deployments embarked on USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75).
His previous shore tour includes Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), NAS North Island, CA and Naval Aviation Center for Excellence (NAMCE), NAS Lemoore, CA, where he was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer, and served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
In March of 2023, he was selected for Command Senior Chief, and in October 2023, he reported to USS Canberra (LCS-30) serving as the Command Senior Chief. He was selected to Command Master Chief in March 2024.
Currently, he is assigned to the “Battlecats” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron SEVEN THREE (HSM-73) as the Command Master Chief.
Master Chief Escolano is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Newport, RI, (Class 249/Red) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course. His personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and various campaign and operational awards. He is qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist.
