Bryan Orlowski is a native of West Seneca, New York and a 2006 graduate from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Systems, a U.S. Coast Guard Third Engineers License, and a Naval commission. He earned his Naval Flight Officer wings in 2008 as an F/A-18 Weapons Systems Officer. CDR Orlowski arrived at the VFA-2 Bounty Hunters in July 2024 and has served as Executive Officer through RIMPAC and the 2024-2025 Deployment in support of Operation ROUGH RIDER. His previous operational flying tours included the VFA-32 Swordsmen, the VFA-103 Jolly Rogers, and the VFA-11 Red Rippers. He has supported Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM SENTINEL. His shores tours have included an instructor tour at the VFA-106 Gladiators and the Joint Staff J35 Directorate for Regional Operations and Force Management. CDR Orlowski was a member of the inaugural cohort of the Navy’s Fleet Scholar Education Program (FSEP). He graduated from Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy with a Master’s in Public Policy. CDR Orlowski awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Strike/Flight Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, including various service and campaign awards and ribbons.
