Command Master Chief Oneil Lewis

Master Chief Lewis is a native of Trelawny, Jamaica. In January 1999, he enlisted in the United States Navy and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL, followed by Hospital Corpsman ‘A’ School. He then attended Field Medical Service School at Camp Johnson, in NC.
His first assignment was with 2nd Medical Battalion, 2D Force Service Support Group in Camp Lejeune, NC. His subsequent tours included Naval Hospital Sigonella, Naval Survival Training Institute, 2D Marine Division, Naval Branch Health Clinic Atsugi and
USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).
Master Chief Lewis’ previous Command Master Chief assignments include Strike Fighter Squadron 102, USS Robert Smalls (CG 62), and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). He currently serves as Command Master Chief of Carrier Strike Group three.
He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from National University, a Bachelor degree in Health Care Administration from Trident University. He is qualified as a Master Training Specialist and Afloat Training Specialist and he is a graduate of the CMC/COB course Class 17140 and Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 170, Brown group).
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), Combat Action Ribbon as well as numerous unit, campaign and service awards.
