Captain Brent Jaquith

CAPT Brent “Bob” Jaquith is a native of Proctor, Vermont. He graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a minor in German. Upon completion of flight training, he was designated a Naval Aviator in 2004.
CAPT Jaquith’s sea assignments include VFA-34 “Blue Blasters,” deploying twice aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72); VFA-131 “Wildcats” as a department head deploying twice aboard USS Eisenhower (CVN 69); executive officer and commanding officer of the VFA-27 “Royal Maces” forward deployed to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). He participated in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.
Ashore, CAPT Jaquith served as a Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor assigned to the VFA-106 “Gladiators” at NAS Oceana, VA; Navy Personnel Command PERS-43 in Millington, TN, where he served as the East Coast Strike Fighter Placement Officer; the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, from which he graduated with distinction earning a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies; and Senior Military Evaluator in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Director of Operational Test and Evaluation at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. He assumed the duties as Deputy Commander, Carrier Air wing SEVENTEEN in Jun 2023.
He has accumulated over 3,600 flight hours and 750 carrier arrested landings. His selected for the 2009 VFA-34 LCDR Robert E. Clukey III Leadership Award, 2010 Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic Instructor of the Year, and the 2011 Navy and Marine Corps Association’s Peer Leadership Award. His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (third award), and numerous unit awards and citations.
