Senior Chief Naval Aircrewman C. F. Gotelli

Senior Chief Gotelli, a native of Stockton, California, graduated from Lincoln High School and started his military career in 2003, when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  Upon completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois he attended Naval Aircrew Candidate School, Aviation Rescue Swimmer School, and AW “A” School in Pensacola, Florida.  He then reported to his Fleet Replacement Squadron of HSL-41 where he learned to operate the mission systems of the SH-60B.   
 
His operational assignments include HSL-49 and two tours at HSM-73 where he deployed on board USS Rentz (FFG 46), USS Ford (FFG 54) USS Pickney (DDG 91), USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), and USS Nimitz (CVN 68) to the 4th, 5th, and 7th Fleet in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, OCTAVE QUARTZ, and FREEDOM’S SETINEL.     
 
His shore assignments include Helicopter Maritime Strike Weapons School Pacific (HSMWSP) and HSM-41.  While at HSMWSP he served as Aircrew Leading Petty Officer and Training Leading Petty Officer and completed the transition syllabus to the MH-60R.  At HSM-41 he led as the Curriculum Leading Chief Petty Officer, Student Control Leading Chief Petty Officer, and Staff Leading Chief Petty Officer. 
 
Senior Chief Gotelli’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards) as well as multiple unit and service awards.  He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 
 
Senior Chief Gotelli reported to his current assignment as Senior Enlisted Advisor for Helicopter Maritime Strike Weapons School, Pacific in January 2023.
