Senior Chief Christenson was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. She enlisted in the Navy in March 2009 as a Naval Aircrewman and has since earned her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Walden University. Following Naval Aircrew Candidate School and ATO “A” school in Pensacola, Florida she reported to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron SEVEN, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma for initial training as an In-flight Technician on the Navy’s E-6B Mercury aircraft.
 
Her follow-on orders and her first sea duty assignment were to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron THREE (VQ-3), also on Tinker AFB, where she qualified and earned her “wings of gold” in 12 months. At this first five year sea tour, she earned Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Collateral Duty Inspector, full-systems Quality Assurance Representative, NATOPS Instructor and Safe-for-Flight Maintenance Controller, she was awarded five Naval Achievement Medals, promoted to Second Class Petty Officer and also to First Class Petty Officer.
 
As a Petty Officer First Class, she selected shore duty orders to the Center for Naval Aviation and Technical Training (CNATT) detachment Tinker AFB, Oklahoma and transferred in December of 2015. As an Avionics Instructor at CNATT, she earned her Master Training Specialist and was promoted to Chief Petty Officer in 2017. She was awarded her first Navy Commendation Medal prior to transferring. Heading back to sea duty, she received orders to return to VQ-3 and reported June of 2019.
 
In her second sea tour, she held positions as the Operations Department LCPO, Training Department DLCPO, and Communications Department LCPO and was awarded her second Navy Commendation Medal. In 2022, she was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer and received orders to the TACAMO Weapons School, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma where she reported in October of 2022 and where she currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
