Command Master Chief Jonathan Brown

Master Chief Brown is a native of Memphis TN, where he graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1996. He enlisted in the Navy August 2002 and received basic training at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois. After that he attended Naval Aircrew Candidate and Aviation Technician “A” school in Pensacola, FL.
He has been assigned as a TAR, FTS, SELRES and Active Duty component performing Loadmaster, Flight Engineer, Safe For Flight and Avionic duties on C-130T and E-6B aircrafts. His previous commands include: COMFLELOGSUPRON (VR-53) Andrews AFB, MD; NOSC CVNLANT 0174 (CVN 69); COMFLELOGSUPRON (VR-54) New Orleans, LA where he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer in 2015; FAIRECONRON (VQ-3) Tinker AFB, OK and FAIRECONRON (VQ-4) Tinker AFB, OK where he was the Senior Enlisted Leader and selected for the Command Senior Chief program. He was promoted to Command Master Chief while serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for the USS SENTRY (MCM 3), Bahrain. He currently is assigned as the Command Master Chief to Airborne Command and Control Squadron ONE TWO FIVE (VAW 125) “Tigertails” in Iwakuni, Japan.
Master Chief Brown holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering Technology from Grantham University. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy class 232 (Blue Group) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course (Class 090). He is authorized to wear Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (five gold stars) as well as various other unit and campaign awards.
