Commander Andre Webb
Executive Officer, Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 147

A native of Lawton, Oklahoma, Commander Andre Webb earned his commission from the United States Naval Academy in 2008, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL, for flight training in August 2008 and earned his Naval Aviator Wings in December 2010. In January 2011, Commander Webb reported to the “Sharp Shooters” of VMFAT-101 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA, for initial training in the F/A-18C Hornet.
Operationally, Commander Webb served as a division officer with the “Valions” of VFA-15 at NAS Oceana, VA. While there he deployed with Carrier Air Wing EIGHT aboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77), participating in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. His department head tour was with the “Royal Maces” of VFA-27 flying the F/A-18E Super Hornet at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. While attached to the Royal Maces he deployed multiple times with Carrier Air Wing FIVE aboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76), participating in Operations FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, ALLIES REFUGE, and UNIFIED TAKEDOWN.
Ashore, Commander Webb served as an instructor pilot with VT-22 at NAS Kingsville, TX. While there he was selected as the 2016 Training Air Wing TWO Instructor Pilot of the Year. He subsequently served as Narrator and Demonstration Pilot with the United States Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, at NAS Pensacola, FL. Following his department head tour, he reported to the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and served as an Assistant Deputy Director for Operations and Presidential Strike Advisor in the Joint Staff Operations Directorate. During this tour, he also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. In 2023 he selected for command and subsequently completed transition training in the F-35C Lightning II. Commander Webb reported to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan in May 2025 to serve as the Executive Officer of the “Argonauts” of VFA-147.
Commander Webb has accumulated over 3,500 flight hours and over 400 carrier arrested landings in various aircraft. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (2 awards), and various other personal, unit, and service awards.
