Commander Adam Howe

CDR Adam Howe was born to military parents at Anderson AFB, Guam. His is a 2004 graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where he received a dual Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History, and of the Naval War College where he received a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies.
CDR Howe entered the Navy as an enlisted sailor in 2006 as a Surface Nuclear Electrician’s Mate. After commissioning via Officer Candidate School in 2010, he was designated a naval flight officer in 2011 and was selected for Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance.
CDR Howe’s flew the P-3C Orion with Patrol Squadron NINE (VP-9) “Golden Eagles” stationed MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI for initial sea duty, and P-8A Poseidon with Patrol Squadron FOUR (VP-4) “Skinny Dragons” stationed NAS Whidbey Island, WA as Department Head. Additionally, he served as ship’s company aboard USS Nimitz homeported North Island, CA and USS Ronald Reagan homeported Yokosuka, Japan.
Ashore, CDR Howe transitioned from the P-3C to the P-8A for FRS instructor duty at Patron Squadron THIRTY stationed NAS Jacksonville, FL. He completed his Master’s at the Naval War College, and served as the MPRF Placement Officer at PERS-43.
CDR Howe will report as the Executive Officer of Patrol Squadron ONE (VP-1) “Screaming Eagles” in spring of 2025.
