Commander Roger Dmochowski

Commander Roger “DMUX” Dmochowski is a native of Pittsford, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2007 while attending on a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship. He later obtained a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University. Designated a Naval Aviator in 2009, CDR Dmochowski has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours in naval aircraft.
CDR Dmochowski’s operational assignments include service with HSL-46, where he deployed to the U.S. Fifth Fleet aboard USS ANZIO (CG 68) in support of NATO counter-piracy operations. As Detachment Maintenance Officer, he helped stand up the first East Coast expeditionary MH-60R detachment, embarking aboard USS BULKELEY (DDG 84). Later, while assigned to HSM-49, he served as Officer in Charge for Detachment TWO aboard USS SOMERSET (LPD 25) and Detachment THREE aboard USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 8), marking the first-time an MH-60R detachment embarked on an amphibious assault ship with a Marine Expeditionary Unit.
In 2013, CDR Dmochowski reported to HSM-40, the Fleet Replacement Squadron, as an instructor pilot, where he also served as an Assistant NATOPS Instructor and Quality Assurance Officer.
Ashore, CDR Dmochowski was selected for the Fleet Scholar Education Program and later served as the lead for the Crisis Response Operations Team at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), ensuring interagency coordination in support of multiple international developments.
CDR Dmochowski’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2), as well as the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2) and various unit and campaign awards.
He is married to Sue Tokar, and they have two sons, George (8) and Charles (6).
