Command Master Chief Keith Wells

 Master Chief Petty Officer Wells is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi and was raised in Moss Point, MS where he graduated from Moss Point High School in May 2002. He began his naval career on 07 August 2002 at Recruit Training Command, followed by Hospital Corpsman “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois. 

He reported to his first duty station at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC, where he worked as a general duty Corpsman on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) floor. He then transferred to Field Medical Service School (FMSS), Camp Johnson, NC in March of 2005. Upon graduation from FMSS he executed orders to 3D Force Service Support Group, Okinawa, Japan in May 2005. He was assigned to Charlie Company, Camp Schwab where he advanced to Petty Officer Third Class. August of 2005 Master Chief Wells was deployed as an Individual Augment to Iraq; in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was assigned to an Army Special Police Transition Team at Forward Operating Base Rustamiyah. He departed Iraq Feb 2006 to
return to Okinawa, where he advanced to Second Class Petty Officer. October 2008, Master Chief Wells departed Okinawa and arrived at Naval School of Health Sciences as a student to attend Advanced Radiological Technician School. Upon graduation, he reported to Combined Arms Training Center, Camp Fuji, Japan Branch Health Clinic as the sole Advanced Radiological Technician on 11 January 2010. He then executed orders to the Radiology Department, Naval Hospital Lemoore where he arrived on 07 February 2011. He advanced to First Class Petty Officer and was hand-selected to perform as the Command Career Counselor. On 03 January 2014, he reported to USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) Sasebo, Japan, 
as a Radiological Technician. He was later selected to serve as the Medical/Dental Department Leading Petty Officer. 

On 09 January 2017, Master Chief Wells reported to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Falls Church, VA, where he performed as the Command Career Counselor. He was selected to Chief Petty Officer 16 September 2017 and was re-purposed as the Leading Chief Petty Officer of the Administration Department. Master Chief Wells was later selected to perform as the Executive Assistant to the Director, Hospital Corps until his departure on 07 August 2020. 

Master Chief Wells executed orders to 3d Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan on 22 August 2020 to serve as the 3d Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment Leading Chief Petty Officer. In February 2021 he earned to role as the 12th Marine Regiment Naval Senior Enlisted Leader. On 16 June 2022 he was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer and in January 2023 he was appointed as the 3d Marine Division Senior Enlisted Medical Advisor to the Division Surgeon until his departure on 01 December 2023. He then served the Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD, as the Brigade First Sergeant 02 December 2023 to 09 August 2024. In March of 2024 Master Chief Wells was selected to serve the Navy as a Command Senior Enlisted Leader. He reported to Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae 24 August 2024, and was selected to Command Master Chief March 2025, and was assigned to serve as the Squadron Command Master Chief of VAQ-141 Shadow Hawks, where he currently serves in Iwakuni, Japan.

His personal awards and warfare qualifications consist of: The Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), Good Conduct Medal (7), Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and the Air Warfare Specialist.
