Command Master Chief Paul Davis

Command Master Chief Davis is native of Salem, Oregon. He enlisted in the Navy in 1995 and completed boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, followed by Cryptologic Technician (Collection) (CTR) “A” School, Direct Support Operator “C” School, and Manual Morse Operator “C”.
As sea, he served as a Direct Support Operator at Naval Security Group Detachment San Diego, California, USS Howard (DDG 83) as a plankowner; USS Higgins (DDG 76); and with USS Sterett (DDG 104) as a plankowner.
His shore assignments include National Security Agency, Fort Meade Maryland; Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet as the Pacific Fleet Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator and Information Warfare Officer at the Maritime Information Operations Center-Pacific; Chief of Naval Operations as the CNO’s CTR Rating Advisor on the N2/N6 Staff; Navy Personnel Command as the CTR Lead Detailer and as the PERS-408 Rating Assignment Officer; and Cryptologic Warfare Group Six Detachment Digby as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
As a Command Master Chief, he served as the Command Master Chief of the World Famous Rooks of VAQ-137 and deployed as part of Carrier Air Wing ONE assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman Strike Group to the Second and Sixth Fleet AORs in support of Operation ATLAS GUARDIAN. In November 2023, he reported to the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center as a CMC/COB course facilitator and also served as the CMC/COB Course Manager.
He reported to Carrier, Air Wing TWO as the Command Master Chief in August 2025.
Along with multiple unit and campaign awards, his decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards). He is qualified as an Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist.
Master Chief Davis holds an Associate of Arts degree in Media and Communications from Coastline Community College. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 202 Red), CMC/COB course (197), and the Major Command CMC Course.
