Master Chief Kyle T. Loftin, a native of Ames, IA, began his military career in July 2004 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from RTC Great Lakes in 2004 and completed Fire Controlman “A” school in early 2005. He graduated from Fire Controlman (Aegis) “C” school in late 2005.
He reported to USS MOMSEN (DDG 92) homeported in Everett, Wa, where he completed three Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployments and advanced to First Class Petty Officer. He then reported to Aegis Training Readiness Center for instructor duty and served as the Leading Petty Officer. Following his first shore duty, he reported back to USS MOMSEN (DDG 92) where he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in 2015.
Following his advancement to Chief Petty Officer, he reported to USS KIDD (DDG 100) homeported in San Diego, Ca. and Everett, Wa. He completed two deployments to the THIRD, FOURTH, FIFTH, and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibilities and advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Upon his detachment from sea duty, he reported to Afloat Training Group Pacific to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Air Warfare, Surface Warfare, Ballistic Missile Defense, and Naval Surface Fire Support warfare areas. He ended shore duty early and reported to USS SAMPSON (DDG 102) to serve as the Combat Systems Maintenance Manager. While onboard SAMPSON, he was selected for the Command Senior Chief (CMDCS) Program in 2024.
He reported to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Itermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment Everett to serve as their Command Senior Enlisted Leader and was selected for advancement to Master Chief Petty Officer in 2025. Currently he is serving as the Command Master Chief for Electronic Attack Squadron ONE THREE SIX, homeported in Oak Harbor, Wa.
Master Chief Loftin is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 241 (Gold) and CMC/COB Course Class 24080. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies.
Master Chief Loftin is qualified as an Enlisted Surface and Aviation Warfare Specialist. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, multiple Navy Commendation Medals, Navy Achievement Medals, Sea Service Deployment ribbons and other various personal, service, unit, and campaign awards.
