Command Master Chief Carlito Chua

Command Master Chief Carlito Chua, a native of Porterville, California, embarked on his Naval career in June 2007 at Recruit Training Command in Chicago, Illinois.  Completed Aviation Machinist Mate “A” school in Lemoore, California, and has served in various sea and shore assignments throughout his career.

CMDCM Chua’s notable sea duty assignments include the decommissioned USS Tarawa (LHA-1) and the pre-commissioned USS Makin Island (LHD-8), where he served from April 2008 to March 2013 as the powerplants Leading Petty Officer and Quality Assurance Representative. He later served aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) from May 2017 to September 2021, taking on roles such as Production Control Supervisor and Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. During this time, he completed five deployments in the INDOPACOM region, including two during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CMDCM Chua’s shore assignments included serving as Production Control Leading Petty Officer and Aviation Life Support System Leading Chief Petty Officer at AIMD Atsugi, Japan, from April 2014 to May 2017, and as Production Control Supervisor and Ground Support Equipment Leading Chief Petty Officer at Fleet Readiness Center Northwest from October 2021 to September 2023.

CMDCM Chua’s duties as Command Senior Enlisted Leader include; Electronic Attack Squadron ONE THREE FOUR, Naval Support Activity Lakehurst, and Patrol Squadron FOUR ZERO (VP-40) where he currently serves as the Command Master Chief.

CMDCM Chua’s holds an Associate Degree in General Studies from Central Tech College and is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 239 Red) and the CMC/COB course 25020. Qualified three insignias: Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (EAWS), Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS), and Information Dominance Warfare Specialist (EIDWS).  Earned multiple awards, including Meritorious Service Medal, five Navy Commendation Medals, three Navy Achievement Medals, and six Good Conduct Medals, along with various unit and campaign awards.
