He was designated a Naval Aviator in April 2007 at NAS Kingsville, TX and selected for initial fleet training in the E-2 Hawkeye. His operational command tour was at the VAW-125 “Tigertails”, an E-2D squadron forward deployed to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. Other sea tours include the VAW-121 “Bluetails” as a junior officer, VAW-116 “Sun Kings” as a Department Head, and CVW-1 as Air Wing Landing Signal Officer, “CAG Paddles”. He deployed and served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS George Washington (CVN 73), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), and the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, ALLIES REFUGE and protecting a free and open Indo-Pacific. Ashore, CAPT Wiltshire was the Commanding Officer of VAW-120, the E-2 community’s only Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) consisting of 20 aircraft and 800 personnel from 2022-2025. Other shore tours include serving as an Instructor Pilot and Carrier Qualification Phase Head at VAW-120 from 2011-2014, Action Officer at the Joint Staff, J-39, Deputy Director for Global Operations from 2017-2019, and MQ-25 Requirements Officer at OPNAV N98 in 2022. CAPT Wiltshire’s most recent assignment was Commanding Officer of the “Greyhawks” of VAW-120. CAPT Wiltshire has logged over 4,000 hours in naval aircraft and over 300 carrier arrestments. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Strike Flight Air Medal (6 awards), Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various other unit, service, and campaign awards. He is married to Shannon Wiltshire and they have two children, Avery (13) and Easton (11).
