Master Chief Adam Arnstein is a native of Merritt Island, Florida. He graduated high school in 2001 and enlisted in the Navy in 2002. He is a graduate of the US Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 240/Gold), and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) Course (Class 250). He earned his Associates of Applied Science in Electronics from Excelsior University.

Following his graduation from Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, Illinois and Avionics Technician “A” School in Pensacola, Florida, in 2003 he reported to his first duty station, Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department (AIMD) Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Follow on tours include: Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) West in Lemoore, California, USS Lincoln (CVN-72) in Everett, Washington, USS Nimitz (CVN-68) in Bremerton, Washington, and Patrol Squadron FOUR ZERO in Oak Harbor, Washington.

Ashore, he served at: AIMD Atsugi, Japan, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Patuxent River, Maryland, and Helicopter Strike Maritime (HSM) FOUR ZERO in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Selected into the Command Master Chief (CMC) program March 2025, he currently serves as CMC of Electronic Attack Squadron ONE FOUR ZERO (VAQ-140) aboard the USS Bush (CVN-77).  

Command Master Chief Arnstein is qualified to wear Enlisted Aviation and Surface Warfare Specialist pins. His military decorations include the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (five awards), Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Expeditionary Medal, GWOT Service Medal, and numerous unit citation and service awards.

He resides in Oak Harbor, Washington with his wife, Eva, and son, Jack.
