Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 6 “Indians”

Mission

HSC-6 provides Combat Search and Rescue, SOF support, rotary wing ship defense, and helicopter utility mission execution to CVW-17 USS NIMITZ, and CSG-11.

About Us

Our squadron reports operationally to Commander, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17 and administratively to Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific.

We fly the MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, a singularly versatile, dependable, and invaluable asset to the United States Navy. Our mission areas are Maritime and Overland Strike, Search and Rescue, Personnel Recovery, Naval Special Warfare, Anti-Surface Warfare and Logistics. As part of CVW-17, we deploy aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as well as provide assistance to other units as needed.
