A native of Utah and a 1995 graduate of Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy immediately after graduation. His career has been defined by senior enlisted leadership at the highest levels of naval aviation, beginning with his first operational tour in the HS-7 “Dusty Dogs.” Ashore, his expertise directly shaped the Navy’s elite rescue community. He served as the CNO Search and Rescue Model Manager, establishing the policies and standards for the entire fleet. At Aviation Rescue Swimmer School (ARSS), his leadership as a High-Risk Instructor and Model Manager earned him recognition as the NASC Sailor of the Year. Operationally, his time as an Inland Rescue Crewman at Whidbey SAR is marked by over 100 credited civilian rescues. He then returned to the fleet and operated at the tip of the spear with the HSC-85 “Firehawks,” providing dedicated aviation support for Naval Special Warfare forces during high-stakes deployments under U.S. Special Operations Command. This unique blend of operational and policy expertise culminated in two historic Command Master Chief tours. As CMC for the USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS-10), he led the crew during the most successful counter-narcotics operations ever conducted by a Littoral Combat Ship. Following this, he assumed his capstone command tour as CMC of the HSC-21 “Blackjacks,” where his leadership culminated in top fleet accolades for both mission success and command culture. Master Chief Worth holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University and is a graduate of the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course and the NLEC Major Command CMC Course. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (Single Action), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medals (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, USCG Special Operations Service Ribbon, and 21 Sikorsky Rescue Awards, among numerous other unit and campaign decorations.
