Mission Naval Aviation Maintenance Center of Excellence - Training provides hands-on training to EA-18G aircraft maintenance technicians, emphasizing the latest maintenance, inspection techniques, and real-world on-the-job (OJT) tasks. Through both formal and informal curriculums, NAMCE-T accelerates technicians’ proficiency and supports the timely completion of essential maintenance qualifications. Through OJT and collaboration with Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) to support AIR BOSS’ initiatives, NAMCE-T increases effectiveness and reduces gaps in deckplate-level Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements for warfighters.
The Naval Aviation Maintenance Center of Excellence – Training (NAMCE-T) is a forward-leaning command dedicated to advancing aviation maintenance training across the Fleet. Located in Whidbey Island, Washington, NAMCE-T delivers innovative and hands-on instruction that equips Sailors with the technical expertise, mission readiness, and leadership required to support naval aviation’s most critical platforms. History Established on April 1st, 2025, NAMCE-T was formed to meet the AIR BOSS’ initiative for a growing need for standardized, high-impact maintenance training. As a subordinate command under COMVAQWINGPAC, NAMCE-T began its journey with a small but determined team of eight Sailors. These founding members laid the groundwork for every process, program, and product that followed—developing curriculum, building infrastructure, and establishing a culture of excellence from the ground up.Their tireless work during the command’s earliest days not only shaped NAMCE-T’s foundation but also set the tone for its future: one defined by innovation, resilience, and mission-first leadership. Though young in years, NAMCE-T stands as a testament to what can be built with vision, grit, and a team of dedicated professionals.
