Mission Produce combat ready aircrew, Sailors and aircraft capable of conducting electronic warfare on time and on target to fight and win our nation's wars.
About Us Electronic Attack Squadron ONE FOUR ONE (VAQ-141) was established in July 1987 at NAS Whidbey Island, WA as the twelfth operational EA-6B Prowler squadron. In April 2009, after returning home from a deployment, the Shadowhawks immediately began their transition to the EA-18G Growler. The EA-18G Growler aircraft we fly represents the most advanced technology in airborne Electronic Attack and stands as the Navy’s first line of defense in hostile environments. A variant of the F/A-18F Super Hornet Block II, the EA-18G Growler combines the capability of the combat-proven Super Hornet with the latest AEA avionics suite evolved from the Improved Capability III (ICAP III) system. The EA-18G’s vast array of sensors and weapons provides the warfighter with a lethal and survivable weapon system to counter current and emerging threats.
