Master Chief Sequira is a Middletown, Rhode Island native who joined the Navy and arrived for basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in January 1996.
 
Following Recruit Training and Aviation Structural Mechanic Hydraulics (AMH) “A” School in Millington, Tennessee, he reported to Naval Aviation Training Group Detachment at Naval Air Station (NAS) Miramar.  He was then stationed at NAS North Island with Fleet Logistics Support Squadron THREE ZERO (VRC-30), Detachment 2, where he would complete two Western Pacific deployments onboard USS Constellation (CV 64) before his transfer to NATTC Pensacola.  During his time instructing AM “A” school, he was selected to Chief Petty Officer.  His next duty assignment was with Airborne Command and Control Squadron ONE ONE SIX (VAW-116), at NAS Point Mugu, California completing one deployment onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72).  His next assignment was to USS BOXER (LHD 4) homeported at Naval Station San Diego, California completing one Western Pacific deployment during which he was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  He checked in to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron FOUR (HSC-4), at NAS North Island, where he was selected to Master Chief Petty Officer.  He was again stationed on USS BOXER (LHD 4), completing another deployment.  He returned to NAS North Island as the Maintenance Master Chief of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron FOUR ONE (HSM-41).  He was selected to the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program in 2018 and his first assignment was as the plankowner Command Master Chief for Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron THREE ZERO (VRM-30), the Navy’s initial CMV-22B Osprey squadron.  He is currently serving as the Command Master Chief for the “Battlecats” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron SEVEN THREE (HSM-73).
 
            Master Chief Sequira is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 215 (Brown) and the CMC/COB School (Class 196).  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston West Virginia.  His personal Awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Good Conduct Medal (six awards), and various other campaign and unit awards.  He is authorized to wear the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist breast insignias.  He is also a designated Master Training Specialist.
