A native of Tampa, Florida, Commander Krasnicki is a 2008 graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering Systems and is a 2024 Distinguished Graduate of the United States Naval War College, earning a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.

CDR Krasnicki began his operational flying with the “Dusty Dogs” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron SEVEN in September 2011. He completed a nine-month deployment aboard the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75) with Carrier Air Wing THREE in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in the FIFTH and SIXTH Fleet AOR.

In September 2014, CDR Krasnicki received orders to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron EIGHT FOUR and reported to HH-60H Fleet Replacement Pilot training with the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron THREE. When HSC-84 was slated for decommissioning, CDR Krasnicki transferred to the “Fleet Angels” of HSC-2 reporting as an FRS Instructor Pilot. At the end of his shore tour, CDR Krasnicki volunteered for and completed an Individual Augmentee deployment with the Naval Special Warfare Development Group in support of Overseas Contingency Operations in the Horn of Africa region.

Following Instructor Duty in September 2017, CDR Krasnicki reported to the USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77) as an Aircraft Launch and Recovery Officer (SHOOTER) where he served as the V-2 and V-0 Division Officer as well as the Air Department’s “TOPCAT.” After refresher training in the MH-60S, he reported to the “Chargers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron FOURTEEN as a Department Head in July 2020. He served as the Administrative Officer, Tactics Department Head, Operations Officer, and Maintenance Officer. He was most recently deployed aboard the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) with Carrier Air Wing NINE in the SEVENTH Fleet AOR.

Following his Department Head tour, CDR Krasnicki attended the U.S. Naval War College, College of Naval Warfare, in Newport, RI. After graduation, he received 1st Place honors in the 2024 Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Strategic Essay Competition and was published in Joint Force Quarterly 115 (4th Quarter 2024) for his paper “Considering the Utility of Modern Blockade in a Protracted Conflict with China”.

CDR Krasnicki has accumulated over 2,200 flight hours in various airframes. His personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, as well as various other unit and campaign medals.
