Command Master Chief Matt Kwiecinski is a native of Saline, Michigan where he graduated from Saline High School in 2000.

He enlisted in the United States Navy on August 21, 2000 and received recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois.  Following completion of basic training he reported to Naval Submarine School, Groton, Connecticut where he completed Basic Enlisted Submarine School and Fire Control Technician  “A” school.


Master Chief Kwiecinski’s sea duty assignments include USS TOPEKA (SSN 754), USS ALBUQUERQUE (SSN 706), USS PASADENA (SSN 752), and USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91) .

His shore duty assignments include Center for Information Dominance Learning Site, San Diego, Individual Augmentation to Basrah, Iraq, staff of Commander Submarine Squadron ELEVEN, and as Command Master Chief of the floating dry-dock ARCO (ARDM 5).
He graduated from the United States Navy Command Master Chief / Chief of the Boat Leadership Course in February 2015 and is also a graduate of the United States Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Academy.

He reported aboard the USS PASADENA (SSN 752) in May 2015 and served as the Chief of the Boat until December 2018. During his time as COB, the ship earned the COMSUBRON 11 Battle Efficiency ‘E’ Award for 2017 and 2018. He reported to USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91) in September 2020 and served as Command Master Chief until August of 2023. He is currently Serving as the Command Master Chief of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron FOURTEEN

He is authorized to wear several personal and unit awards but is most proud of the 7 Battle “E” awards he has earned, as a result of the incredible efforts of his shipmates.
