Master Chief Jeffrey E. Jones Jr. is a native of Stockton, California and enlisted in the Navy in June 1997.  Following completion of Basic Training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL, he reported to NATTC Pensacola, FL, where he graduated from Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) “A” school. 
 
His operational assignments include tours as an Avionics Technician and Plane Captain at STRKFITRON TWO TWO, stationed in Lemoore California; where he completed two WESTPAC deployments while attached to Carrier Air Wing ELEVEN embarked onboard the USS CARLVINSON.  Additionally, He completed two tours while attached to STRKFITRON ONE NINE FIVE stationed onboard NAF Atusgi; once serving as Avionics and Quality Assurance Leading Petty Officer and secondly as Line Division Leading Chief Petty Officer and Flight Deck Coordinator.  He completed five WESTPAC deployments deployed onboard the USS KITTY HAWK and USS GEORGE WASHINGTON.  He served a tour of duty with STRKFITRON ONE ONE in Virginia Beach, V;, serving as Division LCPO and Maintenance Supervisor.  During this tour, he completed one MED CRUISE/Homeport change to San Diego, CA and led two Commander Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic detachments to Fallon, NV.
 
His shore assignments include one tour of duty stationed at Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa, we here served as a BQM-74 Aerial Drone and Remote Controlled Surface Targets Pilot and Technician.  During this tour, he participated in three Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training exercises and one Counter Special Operations Exercise.  During this tour, he deployed onboard seven different naval vessels.  Master Chief Jones completed two tours of duty stationed at Center For Naval Aviation Technical Training Lemoore, CA where he attained his instructor and Master Training Specialist Qualification while serving as an instructor and Training Department LCPO.
 
In 2019, then Senior Chief Petty Officer Jones selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program and his first CSEL tour of duty was Cooperative Security Location, Comalapa, El Salvador.  His second CSEL tour of duty was Naval Support Activity Lakehurst, New Jersey.  Upon selection to Command Master Chief Petty Officer in 2022, he reported for duty at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron EIGHT where he currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
 
Master Chief Jones is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 204 and holds an Associate of Arts Degree from University Maryland University College, an Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Trident University International. 
 
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
