After his commission, he reported to Student Naval Aviator Training at NAS Pensacola, to assume the Student Naval Flight Officer pipeline. Upon completion of Student Naval Flight Officer training, he reported to the NAS Jacksonville Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS), where he was designated as a Naval Flight Officer in 2011. CDR Brown is a first-generation Naval Academy graduate and a first-generation Naval Flight Officer. Following instruction at the P-3C FRS, CDR Brown was assigned to the Mad Foxes of PATRON FIVE. From 2012 to 2015. During his time onboard, he qualified as Tactical Commander, Mission Commander, and Weapons and Tactics Instructor. CDR Brown reported to COMMANDER TASK FORCE SIX SEVEN at NAS Sigonella, Italy, where he has served as the first SIXTH Fleet P-8A Weapons and Tactics Instructor, Assistant Operations Officer, Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare Watch Officer (TASWWO), and Battle Watch Captain. Completing his overseas tour CDR Brown served a Squadron Maritime Tactics Instructor (SMTI) tour for PATRON SIXTEEN from 2018-2019 where he assumed TACTICS Department Head duties, Commander Task Group Operations Officer, Assistant Training Officer and Mission Commander for Combat Aircrew One. CDR Brown served as the P-8A Training Director for the largest squadron in the Department of Defense, PATRON THIRTY from 2019-2021 leading into his Department Head tour at VP-26 2021-2023. Departing VP-26 as the Maintenance Officer. CDR Brown completed his VP-26 DH tour to serve at PERS-43 as the VP Sea Assignments officer, where he was selected for command and assigned to VP-47. CDR Brown’s personal awards include a 5 x Naval Commendation Medal, 3 x Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other service and campaign awards. He is the son of Mr. Federico and Irma Brown, is married to the former Ms. Kathryn S. Wilson of Brooklyn N.Y, and fathers Augustus, Arianna and Alexandra.
