Command Master Chief David Conduff

Command Master Chief, USS Nimitz (CVN 68)

23 October 2020 Command Master Chief David Conduff is a native of Tucson, Arizona. He enlisted in the Navy in November 1991 and attended Recruit Training in Orlando, Florida. Upon completion of Hull Maintenance Technician "A" School in April 1992 he reported to his first ship, USS MCKEE (AS 41). After two years on MCKEE, Master Chief Conduff completed Non-Destructive Testing of Metals, Hull Technician "C" school.

Master Chief Conduff's sea tours include: USS CAPE COD (AD 43), USS SHENANDOAH (AD 44), USS ESSEX (LHD 2), USS BELLEAU WOOD (LHA 3), USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74) and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68). He earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Qualification on CAPE COD and his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Qualification on ESSEX. He was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2002 while serving onboard BELLEAU WOOD. Shore assignments include: Navy Recruiting District Houston - Recruiting Station Lufkin, Texas as Recruiter in Charge and Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activity San Diego, Submarine Maintenance Department, Ballast Point, Point Loma, California as Ship's Superintendent.

Master Chief Conduff was selected to the Command Master Chief program in 2012 and served as CMC for VFA-14 from January, 2014 to March 2016 and Strike Fighter Squadron ONE TWO TWO (VFA 122) until April 2018 when he reported to Strike Fighter Wing Pacific as Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Conduff's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. He is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 132, Khaki). Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (Sixth Award), Navy Achievement Medal (Sixth Award), Good Conduct Medal (Eighth Award) and various unit commendations.
