Commanding Officer, Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 137

24 October 2020 CDR Fuemmeler hails from Glasgow, MO and attended the United States Naval Academy earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. CDR Fuemmeler's first fleet assignment was flying EA-6B's with the “Black Ravens ” of VAQ-135 from August 2004 to October 2007. He made multiple deployments aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) in support of OIF/OEF.

CDR Fuemmeler reported in October 2007 for Transition and Instructor duty at VFA-106 and then reported to VAQ-129 to stand up the EA-18G Fleet Replacement Squadron in February of 2009.

In May 2011, CDR Fuemmeler reported to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College as a student followed by a second tour in VAQ-135 as a Department Head from June 2012 to August 2014.

Following his Department Head Tour, CDR Fuemmeler reported to US Strategic Command where he worked as an exercise planner, served as a Strike Advisor in the Global Operations Center, and worked as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff.

In February of 2018, CDR Fuemmeler returned to VAQ-129 to fulfill student requirements and served as an instructor to fleet replacement aircrew before reporting to the Rooks in May 2019 as the XO.

CDR Fuemmeler has over 1,180 hours in the FA-18F and EA-18G, and 465+ traps.
